Wildlife with a view
What a great hiking trail. We hiked up to Rainbow Lake and on the way back we encountered wildlife. 3 Moose grazing, walked across the trail, looked at us and decided we were not a threat and continued on their way.

Great quick hike!
Being in Florida for 18 years, this was a great beginner hike. (Absolutely NO elevation in FL). Our family hiked back to Rainbow Lake without any issues. Great hike for young children. Several little streams to dip your toes in. The trails are marked. On our way back to the parking lot, we decide to take a more difficult path back. There are several different hikes to complete at this location. Saturday was a very popular and busy time to go. Go early… parking was becoming an issue. Well worth it! There were several dogs on this path, so they are welcome to join you!

Great Family Lake
The 2 mile roundtrip hike to Rainbow Lake is a great hike for casual hikers, families, and dog owners. The hike is flat with boardwalk portions, cute bridges over creeks, and a small pretty lake at the end. People bring their dogs along for the hike and a dip in the lake. This is a great hike for parents who wish to introduce their kids to hiking without exhausting them.
