Beautiful mountain lake

Finding this lake was a bonus. A beautiful unspoiled mountain lake 3 miles off Route 306. We visited on a weekday afternoon and there were only a few people fishing, kayaking, hiking. I imagine it could get crowded on the weekends. Exceptional.

    Love outdoors in the cool summer, this is the place for you
    great little town, perfect weather in the hot summer to escape to. Surf Hotel is a wonderful option to stay and walk to downtown for restaurants and bars. Would recommend if you like to do outdoor things: hike, bike, raft, fish. If you do not like to do this, not much else to do.

    That's what we came to Colorado for
    Amazing fresh water lake. The short trip from Buena Vista was nice, as we climbed the mountain along the creeks. The lake has such a scenic setting nestled within the mountains. Water access is easy and though the water is cold, it was just fine for a short dip.
