    90 miles south of Pueblo!
None of the photos displayed are of Bear Lake located in the San Isabel National Forest. Even the thumbnail appears to be of the Bear Lake near Estes Park! Bear Lake is located 90 miles and two hours south of Pueblo, Colorado in the Culebra Range of the Sangre De Christo Mountains at a 10400 foot elevation, adjacent to the Bear Lake Campground. The lake is located at the end of Huerfano County Road 422. 422 departs from CO 12, also known as the "Highway of Legends" that connects La Veta and Trinidad, Colorado. 422 is 5 .1 miles long over a very washboarded road. Once arriving you will be at a NFS day use area which charges $7 dollars per vehicle, per day. Once the fee has been paid you are free to use the other day use areas whithout additional payments. The lake is stocked throughout the season for the fishermen and you are allowed to carrying in nonmotorized watercraft for use on the lake. A network of trails connect Bear Lake with Blue Lake, another day use spot in the area. Full Disclosure: I only offered basic information, not opinion as I am the Host at the nearby Bear Lake Campground.

    Beautiful scenery
This is place is hard to find. Dirt road to Bear lake and it is breathtaking. It is worth the find. There are two lakes in this area. The first lake is Blue lake then if you go further then you will find Bear Lake.
