breezy cliff

my visit was in winter (january 2016 ) ..this spot has been in my list .. since I read an article telling that this cliff is a famous suicide spot for the Japanese ..and somehow it pumped up my curiousity .. :p .. it turn out to be a beautiful cliff scenery .. the wind was so strong when I was on the cliff .. I m so worried I could be swept away to the sea by the strong wind heehee.. the and old uncle in uniform ( I believe he is the Cliff LifeGuard ) asked all the visitors not to get too closed to the edge of cliff due to strong wind. I was there until the sun set down and all resto on the way to cliff was closed and I had to get hurry to be able to catch the last bus to MikuniMinato station .. its took 2 hrs train from Osaka to arrive Mikuni minato ..then continue with local bus to the cliff .. oya and there's a dinosour museum in Fukui ..too bad I dont have enough time to check on the museum ..

    Beautiful scenery
Beautiful scenery, with the unusual cliffs and rocks and the sea, as always. Still busy in November when the weather is good. Some nice paths along the cliffs leading to and away from the main tourist site, which can be quiet and also have great scenery. The main cliff area is let down slightly by the crowds of people, so it's never really quiet or peaceful, unless you visit very early or late in the day. Many people on the rocks, many with inappropriate shoes or acting a little recklessly trying to take photos, but not seen any accidents or injuries.

    Very quiet on this visit
Having visted previously when it was very hot and crowded it was pleasant to visit on a cool evening with hardly anyone around. Was able to wander over the rocks freely and watch the sun setting. Virtually all the shops were closed or closing when we arrived so glad for numerous vending machines to get a drink. Lot of kites flying around and despite the sign warning they could steal food none approached us.
