Looked interesting

Savonet Museum is the newest Museum of Curacao! This Museum is a unique concept located at the heart of the Christoffelpark, the largest nature reserve on the island. Established in the former plantation house, called “landhuis”, of the Savonet Plantation. It gives visitors a peek into the lives of the former inhabitants of the area, full of inside information and views. From the first Arowak Indians who came to the island almost 4000 years ago up to modern times. Modern audio- visual concepts, historical artefacts, faces of descendents of the former slaves, photography, completely restored antiques and much more give the museum the tools to tell a diverse story of interdependence between humans and nature, cultural history and natural history.

    Nice learning experience
If you are into learning about the history and culture of Curaçao, this is a good place to visit. You learn about the various aspects of the landhauses, and their historical role. You get to see the inside of the buildings as well as various artifacts. Not too fancy, and not overwhelming.

    Educational
This was a self-guided tour through an old plantation house that included both domestic and scientific artifacts. Each room also had a video that further explicated the curated exhibition. It was interesting to walk through the old rooms, the grounds, and the out buildings. The whole experience took roughly 30-40 minutes, while I spent about 2.5 hours on the trails in the national park. I would add this on, not necessarily make a whole trip to just go to the museum.
