Always good
The Lookingglass Theatre Company seeks to redefine the limits of theatrical experience and to make theatre exhilarating, inspirational, and accessible to all.Through theatre, which invites, even demands, interaction with its audience, the company's goal is to fire the imagination with love, to celebrate the human capacity to taste and smell, weep and laugh, create and destroy, and wake up where we first fell --- changed, charged and empowered.

The Steadfast Tin Soldier
At just over an hour long, this production is a sweet little seasonal treat, full of whimsical charm & colour. Based on the Hans Christian Anderson classic, it involves 5 very talented actors in addition to a musical quartet. No words are spoken, it’s all performed via imagery, mime & dance. The set is chocolate box pretty & the costumes spectacular. Loved it.

Not your ordinary theater
When we went in July 2022, patrons had to have proof of Covid vaccination or negative Covid test and masks were required. The actors were talented and take their craft seriously (but not too seriously). They could make each other laugh as well as the audience. When a member of the audience was out of line (intoxicated and belligerent), they halted the performance until the offender was removed. We were not sure what to expect regarding the performance and were pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised. I am not sure if they change up performances but the one involving Alice and the Looking Glass was what we saw. Parking might be costly, but there is a lot across the street from the theater. They do offer student rates.
