Thai Akha Kitchen is run by Akha people who were born and raised in Thailand. We love Thai food just as much as you! Give us a chance to tell you our story. Our small culture will sooner or later cease to exist and will become forgotten, so this is our chance to pass down our traditions and cooking styles to the world in hope that at least some parts of it will live through people who continue to use our techniques. Akha Food is totally different from Thai Food and is much healthier and fresher. Akha people have a saying: “There are only three things in jungle that you can’t eat, and nobody knows what they are”. In other words, we haven’t found anything that’s not edible yet!

Perfect Local Market and Cooking Class!
Boyfriend and I are self-professed foodies who love cooking at home, so a cooking class in Thailand was a must! Niti was the perfect guide for us and we definitely would recommend the AM class, especially if you’re interested in trying adventurous eating in the local market. From ant larvae, tasted 3 ways- to “elephant poo” and other delicacies, Niti educated us and encouraged us to go outside our comfort zone to try things that we otherwise would’ve had no idea how to order, let alone eat. After the morning market tour, we went to the beautiful Akha Thai kitchen where the real work started! Niti and her staff orchestrated and executed a perfectly timed day of cooking and eating for us, with tips to help everyone tailor their dishes to personal taste. The atmosphere was cheerful and playful. We enjoyed so much delicious home style cooking with simple recipes that seem healthy and easy enough to repeat back in our own homes. Once again, we thought this was the perfect tour for us and would highly recommend it to any friends or family of any cooking skill level!

Book it. Don’t miss out on your Thai experience
This was great! The woman has skill, explains very well and makes fun ? The 4-hour cooking class was over before we knew it. There is plenty of time to eat your own self-made dish. Thank you for the fun day and take care. Lots of love from Holland❤️
