Doi Tao is Back!
Doi Tao Lake is BACK, after a very rainy 2022 filled the lake once again. Fine place for lunch on nicely fried freshwater fish (local catch), stir-fried veggies, rice and a cold beer. (Soft drinks and bottled water available). Or stay for an overnight to catch the early morning mist over the lake between now and March.

Good natural view and local life
You can drive into the field. There is ferry to another side for the local ppl to travel with motobike and car. Local ppl come here to get fish for their life. The lake is so big!! The water here come from Ping river. If there is much water during rain season, you may not see the field.

A lake without water
Living only 40 kilometers from Doi Tao "lake", I have been there several times. But for almost 2 years now, the lake has become a huge field with a small river flowing in the middle Very sad if we compare with the activities of 2 years ago, with the fishermen, the fish market and many floating restaurants. If you like to walk, this is a nice area. If you want to enjoy the water, you could be disappointed ...
