Roll that beautiful bean footage
Such a nice little hidden gem. For those who remember the “Jay & Duke” commercials; you will truly enjoy the memories at the Bush Baked Beans Store & Museum. It’s a friendly atmosphere and a “how they do that” video is really nice Nice little visit for all ages

Free museum
It’s located about 10 miles away from the interstate, but was a highlight of our trip. Free admission and parking! You come in through a gift shop and watch an optional 10 minute video. Then you guide yourself through a museum and come back into the shop, which offers a 10% military discount. Very friendly staff. They had postcards and a penny press for collectors! Be sure to have some pie and bean samples in the restaurant before you leave!

Bush’s Best
This place really exceeded my expectations. I went in thinking it was gonna be some disappointing little shack that tries to pressure you into buying their product and that’s it. But no! It was a really fun experience- and totally free!! Aside from the gift shop, of course. The museum gives you a glimpse into the company’s morals and production process as well as some iconic shots of Duke in the famous Bush’s Best commercials. The walkthrough is short but very educational. There’s artifacts relating directly to the Bush family or to the actual canned bean product. The gift shop was very reasonably priced and they even have non-bean related things like farmhouse decor! The end of the self guided tour takes you to a photo booth where you can get free pictures with Duke in the background. There’s a restaurant that serves a range of American cuisine as well as a sample of the “bean of the day” which is a Bush’s Best brand of course! It looks out over the production plant and Bush family home. Overall really neat and different experience. As a bonus, if you drive from Dandridge to the plant the scenery is breathtaking!
