Worth a visit

The museum is close to the city center and focuses on art from the city and the region. The bulding has two floors. The first floor is focused on abstract art and the second floor is mostly paintings. Some staff do not speak English.

    History of 19th century
Beautiful museum building, not so much expensive. You can see the major historical things of Serbian and Kragujevac history of 19th century when this city was the capital city of The principality of Serbia. Museum has permanent archaeological exhibition. Also, there is First grammar school, one the first high schools in Serbia.

    Just Paintings!
At the time of my visit, only the permanent collection of paintings and sculptures on the first floor of the new building was on show; most important Serbian artists from about 1920s to 1980s are represented, although not always with their best works. Anyhow, it gives an idea of Serbian art scene of the period.
