The private museum is located in a old style wooden tradition house by local enthusiastic craftsmen. The exposition is located on two floors, where you can learn about the process of processing linen and birch bark. Amazing works of authorship made of birch bark fascinate and delight. In the basement there is a shop for linen products. Here you can also buy souvenirs and sweets made in Kostroma City. Recommended for visiting with children.

    Fabulous display and enthusiastic guides
    Small, but fabulous museum with fantastic guides. For only 100 r you can see two rooms filled with linen and birch bark artifacts and hear all about how they were made. The guides not only talk about methods of production, they also show and compare the styles of various local artists and even throw in fairytales and legends to make it all come alive. I learnt so much about how bark items are made, and also heard a few beautiful stories. I absolutely loved it. In the basement they also have a great shop of linen items.

    Interesting
    You can see old itams that was in use in past...The guide in museum will show you and say you about flak and bark during the ''excursion'' of 20min.
