Fantastic view of the Kremlin from the observation deck
You can take the elevator to the observation deck of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for 400 rubles. Unfortunately, the elevator does not reach the observation deck itself, you need to climb the stairs, which is not possible for people with disabilities. From above, a beautiful view of Moscow opens from a height of forty meters. The view of the Moscow Kremlin is especially impressive. Definitely worth a visit!

Cathedral of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia
Moscow's largest church is also one of its youngest, consecrated in the year 2000 after a construction period of 5 years. It is a replica of the cathedral that once stood here, and which had been consecrated in 1883 after a construction time of 44 years. Stalin had the building dynamited to replace it with a 'Palace of the Soviets', a project that was never realised. Instead the site became a large open air swimming pool. Next to the iconic St.Basil's Cathedral, which doesn't have an interior large enough for big celebrations, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is the most important church of Russia, where the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia will lead the 'Divince Service' at Eastern. Also here the last tsar Nicholas II and his family were canonised as orthodox saints in 2000. The ecclesiastical building was also in international news, when in 2012 the feminist punk rock group 'Pussy Riot' performed a song in protest against the Patriarch's support for Vladimir Putin. The exterior consists of a lot of white marble, many arches, five golden domes and unusual bronze sculptures of mainly angels against the wall. The interior has the usual rich decoration with frescoes. Photography inside is not allowed.
