4.5 (22 reviews) Spent Ranking #3 in Ramboda Speciality Museums

A centuries old single estate Sri Lankan tea showroom near Ramboda water falls.

The centuries old single estate tea from Oak Ray Tea Bush show room museum is located near Ramboda water falls right on the main road from Kandy to Newerelia. The showroom is spacious, comfortable and very well stocked with a large variety of single estate tea. The quality of the single estate tea is very good. The smiling sales staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. A selection of fresh garden tea in well arranged racks is a tea lover's delight. The prices of the tea varietal is also reasonable. One can also taste the wide variety of single estate tea freshly brewed before deciding on the varietal of tea they plan to purchase. Downstairs is a tea museum where an entire array of centuries old tea machinery are displayed. The travel weary visitor can also break their long journey by checking in at the hotel of the same name run by the group. Recommended for the tea afficiando.

They are producers of srilankan tea of different varieties. On visiting there, they will show you how tea is prepared also they will serve you tea samples . Good thing is that next to them is restaurant also.

    Nice experience
The tea factory is right next to the hotel. The girl who showed us around was excellent in her presentation and presented the tour very well. At the end we had some fresh tea and bought some too. However the pricing is very high compared to alot of the tea places. Definitely a must visit if you are passing by.
