Nice view of Kandy City
Nice view of Kandy city view for a quick stop with a viewing platform, but cannot accommodate for large crowds. We went there during early morning before heading to other places for our day tour. The view is beautiful and good place for a quick stop for 10-15 mins without any entrance fee.

A nice lookout of Kandy city
Arthur's seat Kandy is a nice view point of Kandy city especially the Lake. It is situated at Rajapihilla Mawatha 550m above sea level. It provides a panoramic view across Kandy Lake, Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Royal Palace of Kandy and the city center. There is a new viewing platform at this place built by Kandy Municipal council.

Very pretty view of Kandy
Nice city view of Kandy. Bonus that its free (unless you take a Tuk Tuk) I would recommend if close by but if you are pressed for time go to the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue. It has comparable views and you get to see a giant Buddha statue. Its 250 rupees to enter as a foreigner. Its also a real temple so you need to dress modestly; men have a t-shirt and shorts, ladies cover your shoulders and knees. They have coverups available there but they are limited and we had to wait for the other guests to finish with there's before we could go in. Make sure you climb to the top of the statue to see all the views. The views are gorgeous at sunset!!
