Relaxing walk
Cannot imagine a place in the middle of a busy city. Much relaxing while walking around in the evening and it is easy to get in from the hotel we stay. Lot of wild life can be seen and huge water monitors lye around the lake. A popular place for the locals and foreigners and can see the Temple of the Tooth from the other end

Kandy City
We stayed 2 full days at Kandy, had a very good Tuktuk driver who was honest and nice, highly recommended. His name is Sanka ( mobile: 075 045 2686) The lake was very good, fascinating view and good for a walk. Just don’t go there on a Sunday cause it will be crowded since it’s the city’s day off.

Boat trip along the river
2000 rupees for a 15 minute boat trip lapping around the lake we felt was good value for money. We were fortunate to be in Kandy on a very warm day which made the boat ride all the more pleasant. Good for wildlife observation and the whistle stop by boat of all the main sites of wonderful Kandy!
