Manuel Cargaleiro is a big name of the paint in Portugal. For me it's simply the best. The museum is a face of the artist. You can see part of is paints in a modern and amazing museum.

A jewel at Castelo Branco old city centre.
A nice gallery/museum at the heart of Castelo Branco, with delicious paintings from the portuguese master Cargaleiro and unexpected collections of ceramics. There is a guided free visit. It deserves a visit.

Cool for us - no idea about you!
Of course, art is very subjective - this isn't a huge place, but it has a range of, mostly ceramic, art both from the artist whose name is on the door, and other items he's collected. There were a few pieces I really liked, a few I really didn't, and a lot in-between - well worth the 2 euro entry fee if this kind of art is your thing.
