exceptional well done

If you love military history do not pass this one up. It was very well done and they have the narration in english with head sets. it was facinating.

    Good
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Nice video with historic explanation. There's also a souvenirs shop, were several things (eg: children costumes) can be bought.

Visit at the right time to see the film
Apparently the film is only offered to individual travellers on Saturdays and. Sundays. And you need a minimum of 5 people to see it. We went for the 13.30 show on Saturday - there were only 4 people there, so to see the film we had to buy the extra ticket between us. The exhibition is mainly in Portuguese but you can get an audio guide for an extra 2 euro. The exhibition is quite good but you need time to see it all. The battle field also has audio guide points. The battle field is the where the Portuguese were deployed. The film was good and you listen to the dialogue in English through the audio guide. Worthwhile detour if you are interested in history but slightly wacky organisation.
