Herbst Palace Museum, Central Poland, Poland
4.5 (129 reviews) Monday: Spent Ranking #7 in Lodz Province Speciality Museums
One of the oldest museums in Poland
This museum holds some very interesting paintings and other furniture fixtures and artefacts. This is one of the many homes that turned into palaces for the textile barons of Lodz. There are a number of others that are also open to visitors and all should be visited as they each show in their own way how the very rich lived very well in Poland in the nineteenth century. The gardens are also beautiful so take an opportunity and walk in them if you have the time.

Lovely insight into 19th-century wealthy Polish family lifestyle
This 19th-century villa of a rich factory owner contains representative rooms on the ground floor (a mirrored parlor, dining room, ballroom, hunter's room, and Asian motif study room, with family rooms on the first floor. Beautiful decoration and stoves, paintings and furniture enhance the overall visual impact. Audio tour available. Also at this location is the Museum of Art.
