    Must visit !
Great place for anyone, couples, families or friends. The lake requires an admission but once inside you are free to set up picnic anywhere. Arrived before opening so experienced it before anyone else could. The lake is surprisingly clean with beautiful crystal clear water. You are able to buy drinks and snacks all throughout the establishment. You can also rent a small boat for a tour across the lake. Well worth it.

    Must visit lake
This is a very small, but yet beautiful lake. The crystal-clear waters invite you to dip, and there are trees everywhere (a lot of them even inside the lake) that shield you from the sun and heat, which is great. This is a must-see whenever in Michoacan, Zamora region

    Great family picnic place
We had been to lake Camacuaro last weekend and it was full on fun. even though the weather was not completely in favor, we managed to have a boat ride along the lake and it was really refreshing. clean crystal clear water with comfortable temperature. great food along side. well maintained.

    Lake Camecuaro
We stayed at the Fenix Hotel in Zamora which was
excellent in service including Free WiFi Internet
service. Took a 20 minute ride by taxi to Lake
Camecuaro and saw the 1000 year old Sabia perenial
pine trees and took the guided boat ride.
    Well worth it !!

    Nature Michoacán style
Really nice lake, at the entrance you can get beer and snacks.
Similarly to other nature spots in the state, one can find the usual plastic chairs, not great facilities, drunk people having its own mini party, and local "norteños" which are a 3 men bands playing loud music with unattractive instruments.
Despite all of the local taste, the lake is just amazing, its enormous trees emerging from the water, the local fauna, the air. It is a really touching experience.
Bring your swimsuit, a good mosquito repellent and find a good spot to relax and enjoy, I recommend the area near the hanging bridge at the deepest part of the park.

    Beautiful Lake
Camecuaro is a beautiful place to visit my family is from Tangancicuaro. Camecuaro is a great place to go with your family and have a picnic. Its also a romantic place to go with your significant other and ride on a small boat and see the beautiful trees that surround the lake. There are also many ducks be careful with the geese they pinch your behind, thats what happened to my cousin. :)

    one day tour to Camecuaro
1.5 hr drive from Uruapan,Mich. or 1 hr from Zamora, Mich. a real Must, fresh water spring forms a Lake, kept by the community.$1.00 USD entry fee.
Typical foods available, 300 yr old trees surround the lake where you can swim, have a pic nic and or row/boat tour.
Taxis can take you and local tour operators as well.
Mariachis, nortenos and banda music bands can play for you by song or full hour.

Be sure to get a hammock (local handcrafts)and plenty of rope to feel the trip.

Beautiful Trees and Clear Clean Water
This place is a great thing to do if you want some never seen before beautiful scenery combined with water activities. The Lake has amazingly giant size trees that grow along the shore with some growing out off the water creating an enormous canopy providing shade for those that wish to BBQ and lounge on the shore around the Lake. The water by the trees is crystal clear blue and you can see the bottom of the lake with no problem.

They have beautiful multi-color boats that you can rent for a 100 pesos/1 hour and a guy rows you around the lake.

Parking was very close to the lake and wasn't a problem at all. There are also plenty of food vendors and craft vendors selling merchandise.

If you close by, I'd stop by and check it out because you won't see anything like it un the USA.
