Beautiful Lake
Beautiful lake with lots of wildlife. Monkeys from Asia were put on an island of the after they were used in some sort of experiment. But they make an interesting attraction. Lots of birds. Keep your eyes open, you might see a croc in the water! Can make arrangements for a boat through the hotel.

Coolest Lake in Mexico
Forget Chapala, even Patzcuaro, Catemaco is full of adventure and exuberant nature, of course the little town is a tourist trap, but good base to explore.

Totally beautiful and jet-ski free!!
Be sure to come around and get the view from the south side so you can get the full glory of mini-volcanoes left over from the last big eruption. It is worth the time to read the geologic history of the region. Fascinating!
