My family and I all went to Croatia recently and the Canoe Safari Cetina was the first activity we did. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was stunning - crystal clear waters and a nice breeze while canoeing. The 11km journey is great as you get to see a lot of different scenery and experience many rapids. I was initially worried that the skill level would be difficult for all of us to handle but the rapids and drops are definitely manageable even for someone who is not athletic in the slightest. The guides are also always alert and watching out for you so you can rest assured you'll be safe during the trip even if you fall in (which is actually also a great way to cool down). Overall, I highly recommend doing this trip if you are remotely close to Split as a lot of people only experience the coastal beauty of the country but miss the rivers and mountains that the country has to offer. Red Adventures organised a self-guided 6-day kayak and wildcamping trip for me and my girlfriend. Drazen and Dejan have been incredibly responsive prior to our trip, responding to any queries and creating a bespoke tour to satisfy our needs. This has been one of the most memorable travels I've ever experienced, being able to access the most remote and untouched parts of islands around split. It would have been impossible without the daily communication from Red Adventures with daily weather updates, advice about travelling routes according to wind conditions and other variables. Despite being alone, we have always felt very safe because Red Adventures always maintained communication with us, checking in on us and using their in-depth knowledge of the islands and weather to advise us best. We did omis via ferata with Iris. That was my first ever via ferata and was super scared snd not sure if I'd stay and drink coffee while waiting for my sister. Iris reassured me that I'd be able to it and I actually loved it. She was super professional and gave me necessary confidence and made me feel safe. I was amazed with her experience in hiking, climbing and her achievements. She shared so many cool stories with us making this day unforgettable. Views from this via ferata are stunning - on one side green cetina river and its canyon, on the other city of Omis, island of Brac and Omis Fortress. Being a total beginner I managed it without any problems. Iris took so many cool photos and shared with us. We spent a day rafting on Cetina River. Our host was extremely welcoming so from start to finish we had the most amazing day. It was a day completely filled with laughter. We swam, jumped from ropes, jumped from cliff, drank from waterfalls, swam down rapids. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and was definitely one of the highlights for our trip in Croatia.See more..
