We had a wonderful time on Krka and Wine tasting tour with our tour guide Elio. He was attentive, informative and entertaining making sure we (approx 50 of us) all knew our meeting spots and times. He was an excellent communicator and readily answered questions about the sites and activities regarding tour as well as about his life in Croatia. We greatly appreciate his time spent with us and his desire to make our tour a great experience. Krka is mostly at your own pace and the wine and snacks at the winery were delicious.See more..

My family and I all went to Croatia recently and the Canoe Safari Cetina was the first activity we did. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was stunning - crystal clear waters and a nice breeze while canoeing. The 11km journey is great as you get to see a lot of different scenery and experience many rapids. I was initially worried that the skill level would be difficult for all of us to handle but the rapids and drops are definitely manageable even for someone who is not athletic in the slightest. The guides are also always alert and watching out for you so you can rest assured you'll be safe during the trip even if you fall in (which is actually also a great way to cool down). Overall, I highly recommend doing this trip if you are remotely close to Split as a lot of people only experience the coastal beauty of the country but miss the rivers and mountains that the country has to offer. What a great day with a good balance of free time and learning some history about Split and the surroundings. Jelena was a lovely lady with a great sense of humour who really made the tour a lot of fun. Definitely recommend to do if you want to visit Krka as was great value for money which included a boat ride into Krka, discounted entry and also seeing some of a small seaside town outside of split on the way back. We found Jelena on Trip Advisor and after an email and a call, we decided she was the perfect person to arrange a custom trip for us to see Croatia in 5 days. We are so glad we did! Her communications with us were most complete and she understood our wishes for the trip very well. We loved everything. Her planning for us was perfect and took into consideration all our preferences. The hotels she recommended were great, as were the restaurants. All the guides she selected for us (five, as we were in different cities) were very knowledgeable and warm and friendly. We especially loved our time with Jelena herself touring Diocletian's palace in Split, and the Mestrovic house was among our highlights. What a joy to discover such a magnificent artist that we never heard of! I especially loved being able to reach out to her and make last minute changes while we were there without any hassle or drama. Things we didn’t like: the hotel we chose at Plitvice Lakes was spartan, no wifi, not great dinner, so travelers: do your research! Also be aware that you are not allowed to swim in National Parks. Second, we did not realize that the catamaran to Hvar had no possibility to be outdoors. Being COVID paranoid, sitting indoors for an hour with unmasked crowds was a bit scary. I wish we had known in advance. To us, the definition of a catamaran is a big sailboat on pontoons, all outdoors. As much as we loved Hvar, we would have discussed another way to get there or maybe done something else that day. This is our fault as we never asked her what the boat was. However, the good things way way way outweighed the bad and thanks to Jelena for an unforgettable experience of learning about her amazing country. Being able to arrange everything for the entire trip either through her or with her recommendations in hand made the trip quite easy to plan, and carefree while we were there.See more..
Our boat tour was with seayou, we went on the Bol and Hvar 5 island's tour. Our tour guide Patricija and skipper Lovre were fantastic, very welcoming, friendly, very helpful and they gave us interesting facts about the places we visited. They really made the tour a magical experience. They were both brilliant with the children on the boat and made it really exciting for them. The atmosphere on the boat was amazing, so much fun and everyone was laughing and really enjoying themselves. I really can't describe in words how outstanding the whole experience was. The seayou boats were very comfortable and we had so much fun hopping from one island to the next. The places we visited, pictures really don't do them justice. If you want to see the islands of Croatia, you won't find a better way to do it. can't wait for my next boat tour with seayou and I would definitely 100% recommend them.See more..

Use Croatia Private Tours- you won't be sorry.!! We are a 40 something American couple on vacation for 11 days in Croatia and Bosnia during the off season. We are even still in Split on the backend of our tour (flying home in am) and we only have glowing things to say as we reflect on our past week and a half. We've traveled all over Europe, sometimes on our own and sometimes using a company to organize a custom and private itinerary (no large bus tours or flag holding group leaders for us) I contacted the owner Hrvoje Curkovic or Harry in June to start talking about options for an autumn tour. He was extremely responsive to my inquiries despite the 6 hr time difference and it being the start of tourism season for him. Harry proposed an itinerary with 11 nights in 4 cities with city tours and activities included and we confirmed. We let him pick the hotels and they were all excellent. We did the five island tour. It was fantastic! Our guides were fun and informative. We swam in several pristine caves, coves and beaches. Goggles were provided so that we we could see the sea floor and the fish swimming beneath us at Stiniva beach on Vis island, the blue lagoon and the green cave, We stopped and had lunch at a rooftop restaurant on Hvar, and on the way back to Split we saw the most picturesque scene: dolphins flipping playfully against an almost impossibly beautiful sunset. I will be doing this again in the future, and would recommend it to anyone!See more..

We traveled with another couple for a 2 1/2 week vacation to Slovenia and Croatia and used Private Tours Croatia to plan the whole trip. They were excellent. We told them generally our interests, arrival and departure dates, and some of the places we wanted to visit. They proposed a detailed itinerary, which then led to some back and forth by email to fine tune. The resulting trip, starting in Ljubljana and ending in Dubrovnik, was fantastic and the company made it easy by booking all of the hotels, arranging drivers (including airport transfers), ferries, and guides. That was amazing and really interesting 3.5 hours on island. Our guide and combi driver also were full of interesting facts and stories about island history. We went to explore abandoned JNA bunker, we drove all over the island with ATVs, we took pictures from highest point Hum, we have enjoyed great view on Komiza and town Vis, we saw old airport and listening many stories about Vis island history. All group members (there were 10 of us) were thrilled and we highly recommend the tour...it was fun and full of adrenalin.See more..

The Adriatic is one of the loveliest Seas in the world, and Matko, born on Brac, was an awesome skipper. During the May/off season, the famous winds from the Sahara (Bura) kept us from visiting the Blue Cave, but Matko was so professional and communicative bout keeping us up to date on that. We just wanted a day on the water on a boat. Matko took us to lovely locations for a v reasonable day price, including Hvar and the surrounding islands. The jet-setters like Hvar now, but Matko pointed us to a "normally priced" restaurant for lunch --highly appreciated and Delicious Sea Bass! On the trip back on his speed boat, I also like that when he announced that we'd be "speeding" back to Brac for an hour, he looked at me, ard 60 yrs old, w/a Q mark in his eyes. Like, are you good w/that? I gave him the thumbs up. Matko has empathy + professionalism. You'll be in good hands! And you'll have a Great Time!See more..
