Veliki Prstavac, Central Croatia, Croatia

4.5 (27 reviews) Spent < 1 hour Price Range: from $13.74 Ranking #4 in Plitvice Lakes National Park Geologic Formations • Waterfalls

On the Upper Lakes section, looking up into the forest as the water cascades down.

Your first main Lake stop will likely be Burgeti Lake, so then Prstavacki is the first major waterfall & it is beautiful - sending the waters from Galovac Lake downstream. Everywhere words are lost as this place is a visual feast. Great photo op but, hey, remember to stop & enjoy the moment.

    The most beautiful fall
As the boardwalk trail winds around the lake, you see this approaching, then it disappears from view again until you get close... Then, it is just spectacular... It blew me away... The highlight of the park.

    Gorgeous falls
Gorgeous falls, like the rest in the park but maybe one of my faves. This area can get congested though, so best to visit early in an attempt to avoid the herds. Veliki Prstavac is in the Upper Lakes area, so most easily accessed by entering at Gate 2 and taking the short ferry across and walking up from there.
