Varaždin Cemetery
Established in 1773 and considered to be the most beautiful cemetery in Croatia and even in Europe. in 1905, Herman Haller began to arrange about 7000 cypress, maple, ash, red beech, boxes, magnolia and birch. The “Angel of Death” is one of the most valuable monuments (Robert Frangeš Mihanović).

Review of a cemetery. Go figure.
I'm not sure what happened to my life but here I am reviewing a trip to a cemetery. So this is a cemetery. Lots of dead people. It's an interesting cemetery because it's been designed to be like a park for people to come and hang out and enjoy the day. I approve of that because I think we spend too much time thinking that death is so bad when it's just an inevitable part of life. But I digress. It's an interesting place - the cost of buying and maintaining plots here says much about the human condition. Bodies are buried 5, 6 or more deep. I didn't even know that was a thing. As usual the rich get the nicest stuff and if you don't pay your bill long enough they'll kick you out. Go with a guide - otherwise you're just walking around among dead people.
