4.5 (18 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Sisak-Moslavina County Speciality Museums

Excellent food and service

We went here for a family dinner and we're delighted with the service provided it was very professional and friendly. The food was excellent however it did take a while to arrive after we ordered but apart from this the meal was fantastic! I will definitely visit here again next time I'm in Sisak. Also a lovely venue for wedding or party.

    Beautiful 16th century fortress
Beautifully preserved fortress from the 16th century. Unfortunately, the fort is not completely renovated, but symbolizes a great victory over the Ottoman Empire in 1593. The fort is located at the confluence of the Kupa and Sava rivers.

    Nice day out!
I have been to this museum a few times and the restaurant next door a few more times than that! The museum The fortress from the 16th century is of massive historical significance. The exhibit aims to bring the battle which took place to life. While family friendly, I would say this museum is for secondary aged children and above (say 12+) as I don't think this would appeal to young children. The exhibits are interesting and diverse, but I'm not sure the museum is as interactive as it could be. The restaurant A nice restaurant on the historic grounds of the fort serving a variety of food. A family favourite of ours as we come here for all major family events birthdays etc! All round a nice museum, but I do think it could be a bit more inventive and experiential in bringing the battle to life. Eg there's nothing on the outside of the fort detailing from which direction the Ottoman army came, how they attacked etc which could help. That said the fort is interesting enough in it's own right.
