beautiful nature
The whole place is just beautiful.You can visit small villages all around the Zumberak hills in a car, but the best way to experiance this beautiful nature is on a bike. Maybe it wouldn't be the easiest way because here the road is all up and down but it's worth it. You can also go hiking, there are many trails to go on foot.

Escape in the nature
It's big area so we decided to stay near river Slapnica (Medven Draga) where we could enjoy walking and looking for the waterfalls. Great place to escape from the summer heat and enjoy pure nature. Samoborsko Gorje is great place for bike trekking but unfortunately i can't say it is great experience driving through with a car. It was an adventure to pass very insecure tight roads with numerous landslides as a result of rainfall.

A good weather destination to explore.
We drove through a small part of this huge reserve making our way from Karlovac, Croatia to Novo Mesto, Slovenia. It’s a large hilly woodland interspersed with small farming villages. It would make a good weather destination to explore rather than the cloudy rain we had today.
