Great quirky museum!

Museum of Broken Relationships is a physical and virtual public space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing your heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions. It is a museum about you, about us, about the ways we love and lose. At its core, the Museum is an ever-growing collection of items, each a memento of a relationship past, accompanied by a personal, yet anonymous story of its contributor. Unlike ‘destructive’ self-help instructions for recovery from grief and loss, the Museum offers the chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creativity - by contributing to its universal collection.

    Refreshing experience
When I walked into this museum, I thought I would be out within the hour based on its size and reviews... It took me almost two hours to view the whole exhibition. It represents a lovely concept and gives us an opportunity to reflect on things we often avoid reflecting on. I understand that this is not for everyone, but for those who seek an experience that enables exploration of emotional experiences and lovely human connections, I recommend you take your time on each piece :)

    Small, but engaging
From the photos and website I think I was expecting something larger. It probably took me less than 30 minutes to visit the few rooms and read all the stories attached to the objects. That said, the stories are sometimes depressing, banal, and also funny. There's a great little cafe attached, so if you've got a hour to kill it's a fun little detour to walk through and grab a coffee after.
