Whenever I visit Karlovac, if the weather is nice, I like to take a stroll along Korana river banks which leads me to the Wooden bridge. It offers interesting photo oportunities, especially when the water surface mirrors the wooden structure of the bridge. No motor vehicle traffic is allowed across the bridge so you can enjoy peace and quiet not too far from the centre. However, expect to meet joggers and cyclists. And if you are interested in jogging you can also turn left just before you reach the bridge and follow the path further away from the town centre, along Korana embankment. The bridge was built in the 1930s.

    The most romantic bridge in Karlovac
    The Korana Wooden Bridge – the most common photographers’ motif… in fog, at night, with the twinkling stars, at the break of dawn, with the sun still invisible, with a lonely cyclist going away… take photos of the wooden bridge in all situations and settings, from the locations in the Vrbanić Gardens near the Korana-Srakovčić Hotel, or standing at the very bridgehead.

    Wooden Bridge
    Bridge is near restaurant Hotel korana. From restaurant is cool view to bridge. From bridge is fine view to river.
