Medieval beauty

If you ever want to feel like you are living in a city witch is 600 years old... go to rupit.! It is gem.!! Waterfalls going through the city. The architecture and the small passages through the little town are aimplu charming. It is suprisingly quite during the week when toir busses leave. And you can just wander in the alleys like if you were in game of thrones... my hotel room was in a wonderful setting just near a suspended bridge that joins both sides of the waterfalls.... supppppperb place to visit.!!

Excellent medieval villiage in the Pyrenees
We took a day trip to see three medieval villages. Rupit is around 7000 ft. It was cool damp day but that made it feel even more medieval. Lots of cool buildings in the mountain setting. We enjoyed it and at a local restaurant that was one of the best meals we had on out 17 Barcelona vacation. The surroundings make it a great choice to visit.

    Great day in Rupit
Rupit is a charming town filled with stone houses and natural rock streets. I got the feeling that not much has changed in the last 100 years in this peaceful town, which may explain why the locals are so friendly! The hanging bridge that leads to the centre of the village was a bit of a trial ... I was prepared for the height, but the blasted thing also started to sway when I was half way across, leading to some anxious moments. Fortunately a friendly local showed me another route across the river. Speaking of which, there are many walking trails around the village and into the nearby cliffs and to a small waterfall which make for a pleasant afternoon hike.
