Visit when the rivers are flowing
You want to visit this waterfall in the Spring, Winter or fall. The Spring is best. It is taller than Niagra falls but not as large of course. You must drive your car out to this place and its worth going to the Duero river to visit as well.

A hot, steep hike and not much water
Apparently you can see these waterfalls from below and in front if you go on a long and difficult hike from Pereña. It was a hot day in early June so we elected to go the easier way via Masueco. Once there in our car it was well signed down mostly one way dirt roads until we got to a parking & picnic area way above the falls. It was then a very steep 1200m descent to the falls and until you got there you couldn't see them at all (nor hear them - there wasn't much water in early June). When you do you are basically above the falls. There are a couple of viewpoints where you can get a bit of a top front view but it's a pity you can't go across the other side. It was a long hot climb back to the car. Like many of the Duero villages we saw nowhere attractive to stop in Masueco.
