This is a great museum in Valladolid. It is inside a church. It contains many artifacts from China, Japan and the Philippines. I arrived a little bit late so I could stay only for 50 minutes. I really enjoyed the room dedicated to the Philippines, I learned a lot about the history, art and religion of this country. Entrance is just 5€.

    An Amazing Museum
The Museo Oriental has the largest collection of Oriental art in Spain. The Augustinian Fathers went to Christianize the Philippines in the 16th century. Fray Urdaneta was an expert navigator and he found the sea route from Manila to Mexico. The Augustinian Fathers Christianized the Philippines and then went to China and Japan. As they were working in these countries, they were also collecting the best art they could find. The art collections were put into this museum in 1980 and has 18 large rooms full of this Oriental art. There are ceramics, sculptures and paintings. This is a wonderful place to visit.

Tired of religious art, but love art, go here!
Although the display's are a little dated and have no English titles, this museum has what is called the best collection of Asian art in Spain. Note to independent travelers, not open in the mornings to you, only after lunch. Location in the depths of a religious university is a little difficult to find, but once at the front door of the complex you will be directed to the Museum. Admission fee very reasonable 2.50 Euros, I think. Worth a visit
