A stunning medieval village with magnificent views
On the road from Soria is a turn off to the medieval village of Calatanazor. It is rarely visited and just an amazing experience. The village is small and well laid out with some stunning views over the countryside. There are the remains of a castle and some very fine places to eat. The reason for coming is the food, the place, the peace and the sense of space that you get...real spain at its best and charming

    Beautiful!
We spent a morning here, although it can be seen in approx. two hours. The walk along the Avión River was interesting, especially considering the water overflow due to recent flooding in different areas in Soria. The small "lake" at the end was amazing, the surface bubbles due to the spring source were incredible. The waterfall was also beautiful...there was certainly alot of water...probably due to recent heavy rainfall. This was definitely worth the visit!
