Do not miss the tapestries!

As many people have remarked in reviews, the tapestries are what makes an interesting cathedral a must-see. They are truly breathtaking, and are well worth a detour to see. Some down in the main cathedral, but the bulk of them are upstairs in their own museum part. We nearly missed this, and it would have been a real shame.

    A magnificent Cathedral
This Cathedral is incredible! The interior is full of beautiful artwork and frescoes. The Byzantine dome is incredible. Inside the Cathedral Museum are several wall size Flemish tapestries not to be missed. The audio guide that comes with the entry fee helped to make the visit even more meaningful.

    Just OK
As Cathedral's go, this was nothing special to my mind but I may be a little biased. We arrived just before 10am and the door was open so we walked in, there was no signage so we just walked into the cathedral. After about 10 mins or so, a non-English speaking man came and asked up to leave in a rather brusque manner and ushered us out of the building. We could then see why because you have to pay to enter (which we have no issue with) but it was not our fault there were no staff there and inadequate signage directing you where to go when we entered at 10am. We paid our entrance fee and went around again.
