    A concise history of Iceland
A fascinating museum which, in conjunction with the National Museum of Iceland, gives a thorough insight into how people have lived in Iceland from the time of settlement. After viewing the longhouse, the exhibits onwards to the present day were also very interesting. We particularly liked the yellow bus and its journey through new urban developments. We easily spent two happy hours here.

    A walk through history
This gem in the heart of Reyjavik is well worth the visit. After traveling around Iceland for a week, it was great to learn about the settlement of Iceland in the 900s and to learn to history until present time. This museum offers a glimpse into the lives of early settlers with an excavated longhouse. There are different levels and floors to the museum, each one offering information about different parts of Iceland's history. I recommend 2 hours for this museum. The tickets are about $15 per adult.
