    Amazing golf course
Playing at this golf club was an amazing experience. I phoned them in advance and informed them I was a beginner and they put me in a group with some members who were also beginners. I played 18 holes and it was very fun. The course is abit challenging especially on the 1st nine which has the lava rocks. I will defenetaly be coming back to play here.

Great experience but difficult 1st time
We played Keilir on a sunny and not too windy day in July. Luckily we were paired with two very nice members, which was very helpful since especially the 1st nine holes are difficult to play for the first time even with a stroke saver available. Signage between holes is also not super clear. It's a cool experience though because of the landscape and nice greens surrounded by rocks and lava. Bring a few balls, but maybe also an extra "waste club" since inevitably you will hit a stone and bounce away or end up in a lie on or around stones. Last nine are more classic, free from stones but still with a few holes with blind shots. Two new holes with interesting green areas or challenging tee-shots make also the last nine enjoyable. Very nice staff in the reception, and a good bar and restaurang which you also pass after 9. Not too difficult to walk either. To sum up, it's a fun and different course well worth playing, but very difficult to score on the first few times you play it.
