Coast Guard Beach, Massachusetts, United States
4.5 (634 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Cape Cod Beaches
Great beach
Part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, this coastal gem is a prime spot in summer. Many flock to surf and go boogie boarding, while sun worshippers strive to get the best tan. In summer, you have to pay a fee to access the beach—fees vary depending on your mode of transportation. Parking is not available at the beach, so either hike from Nauset Trail or take the shuttle from Little Creek instead. If you come during winter, you’re likely to spot harbor seals at the end of Nauset Spit or on the marsh. – Tripadvisor

Nice, clean, relaxing beach
Calm, quiet and relaxing. This beach is clean, has good sand to walk on and is good to spend several hours. You would generally expect to spot a few seals close to the shore. We went early in June before the summer crowds had picked up and were rewarded with thin crowds and more space to ourselves. You will need to pay for parking during season starting mid-June.

Biked to Coast Guard Beach
My teenage son and I biked here from a campsite in Brewster. The CCRT brings you right to the access road to Salt Pond visitors center (which we did not see). Then a lush 2 mile pedal to the beach. Stunning views, exceptionally clean beach sand and clear water. Waves were high but swimmable. A few curious seals bobbed nearby. Coast Guard Beach is ideal for walking and the changing room facilities were cleaner than most. Apart from a few greenhead flies, a great beach experience.
