Lovely summer visit!

Rockport's Breakwater was rebuilt in the winter of 2015. It's now possible to walk along it's relatively flat surface to the end (@1/8 mile.) It's a terrific spot to view the harbor, Motif #1, and sailboats. Or, just to enjoy the great outdoors. Proper footwear is a necessity.

    Even in July it can be very cool and windy
    Very nice point to look out at sea, take in the breathtaking view. Listen to the waves and see all the tourists gaggling about and walking out to the end of the rocky breakwater. Here we met a couple from our hometown in Minnesota, small world. Took a group photo of all of us before walking back.

    Great rocky walk
    We love heading out here. Our 4-year-old and 2 year old have made the trek out to the end of the rocks. We hold hands, but they are great and careful! We park the stroller at the bike racks to the left and head out.... Great place to see the boats head out of the harbor. Sneakers best, I wouldn't do in Crocs or sandals for the kids.
