What - Motif No 1 Again!

My wife and I enjoyed seeing the replica of a 1840 fishing shack now located in Bearskin Neck. I recall seeing a shack like this in a movie or two, but didn't know the history. For those who haven't research it, this is why the shack is called Motif 1. "Built around the time of the Civil War, its prominent position at the end of the pier made it a natural backdrop for artists painting harbor pictures. Finally in the early 1930s, while critiquing a group of students’ pictures, several of which featured the little red shack, Lester Hornby, using a term often employed by French students to describe frequently painted sites, exclaimed, “What – Motif No. 1 again!” His fateful words stuck and since then the little red shack has been referred to as “Motif No. 1.”"

    Saw it, photographed it, but don't know how to get to it.
    Pictures, paintings, depictions and references are everywhere here in Rockport regarding this view. We walked all over Rockport without seeing it... until I asked someone and were directed to a alley view. The only question, how would one actually get to it? Took photographs for posterity and posting them here.

    Quick Stop on New England Coast Trip
    While taking a trip up the New England coast on a lighthouse tour how could we pass up taking a picture of this old fishing shack on Bradley Wharf? Since many people live and have business near it, the parking was not easy to just stop and take a quick picture. Plus it was raining and windy, so we didn’t get to spend much time out on the wharf. But, it’s a beautiful addition to our road trip album. Enjoy.
