beautiful walk
The flower gardens were amazing. Hundreds of huge dahlias. The memorial listing names of lost, over 5,000, many lost from same families, brings somber reflection. The wives statue reminds us of a time of hard lives women led.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO WALK
Gloucester Center is a beautifully landscaped place to walk. I noticed that the landscaping changes with the season and when we first went the beds of flowers were color coordinated tulips. In summer there was more of a variety. I have also noticed people in green aprons caring for the beds but do not know if they are employees of the city or just volunteers. All in all with the drawbridge and the statue of the Gloucester Fisherman it is an enjoyable way to get one's exercise.
