Cold but refreshing
I would never visit Rockport in the summer without going for a swim at front beach. The first day we were there this year the water was unbelievably cold. I would actually like to know what the temperature was. The key to going swimming in Rockport is to just jump right in; completely immerse yourself. Swimming in the cold water is very refreshing and feels fantastic. The beach was clean and the raft was out in the water so you could swim out to it. My sons purchased a ball in town that bounces on the water and they spent a lot of time playing in the water with that as well. We had a lot of fun.

THE NICEST BEACH ON CAPE ANN
My husband and I have been going to this Beach for about 33 years. It's clean, I thought that the Town cleaned the Seaweed and junk off the beach every morning. We stay right across from front beach, So we just have to roll across the street to our chairs. ROCKPORT has 3 public bathrooms, one at the Wharf, one on front beach, and one at Rock beach. This place is unique, and Joe keeps improving it every year! It's Wonderful Space!!!! ENJOY!!!! Kay

Still plenty of room even on a summer holiday weekend
A beautiful beach in a great location. What surprised me the most, though, was, compared to other Massachusetts beaches on a summer holiday weekend, there was still room to be found. It's easy to get to and has restrooms quite near. I'm going to have to plan a day here next summer for sure!
