So many shops!
If you love to shop then this is the place for you. There were tons of shops to check out and we ended up spending so much money. For the most part everyone was super friendly and the views of the water were perfect! You can see motif no. 1 from here as well as the break water at the end of the shopping section. Parking is a pain so be sure to arrive early. We were lucky enough to catch a spot as someone was leaving but most of the available Parking was a good distance away. Parking is metered and runs about $1 an hour so not too bad.

Very cool little area
This is just a very cool area to walk. There's neat shops and restaurants, but we just enjoyed walking the whole area down to the end. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon and hard to find parking. I would not recommend trying to park on the neck, as there's very few places to park there, and you'd feel like you're going to hit someone on the way as people are walking down the street. We found street parking about 2 blocks away.

Local Bearskin legend adds to the mystique
First time ever visiting Rockport and it is indeed scenic. Here is what I learned about the local legend, Bearskin Neck received its name from a fisherman who saw the bearskin that Ebenezer Babson left on the rocks to dry. The story goes that Ebenezer had witnessed his nephew getting attacked by the bear and Ebenezer intervened, luring the bear into the water. Nice area to stop and take in the scenery, enjoy the smells wafting about and do some people watching.
