Wonderful day out for the whole family!
We've just returned from this wonderful museum with children (6 & 4 and 1) who have just had a "brilliant excellent day" to quote our two oldest. I have to say my wife and I also had a pretty amazing day too! To quote my wife during the day "there's just fun stuff around every corner"! While we definitely benefited from visiting during a quiet day, we'll happily return again as the place is pretty big. Everything from submarines to space was covered, and the hands-on experiences were great. It has clearly been designed with kids in mind, with loads of things for them to interact with - including a building site with machinery for them to mess around and get dirty with. The kids couldn't decide whether they liked the building site, helicopter air blast, space station rotator or something else the best - which I think pretty much sums it up.

Visit with my two grandsons, both six years old.
I went with my two grandsons, both six years old. They appreciated all parts of the exhibition and keep now asking visiting again the Verkehrshaus. The only downside is the restaurant. The buffet food is OK, but for a single parent with 2 children that are not able to carry their full trays, payment becomes quite a drag. The placement area for trays leading to the cashier is too small. I asked the staff why the do not provide tray carts as e.g. Ikea. The ignored the argument and tried to send me to the part of the restaurant where the food is served at the table. However, prices there are too expensive. So, make sure that you have your own picknick with you. Nice picknick places are available.
