Another terrific station

Swiss railway counts in world's best, and the same applies to their railway stations. All of them are in the very city center, with a bunch of other public transport lines in front to take you wherever you need. The station is a small town within a town with everything you need - food, storage, shopping,... The old facade stands as a reminder of a bygone era in front of the new modern edifice - a very successful mix of styles.

    Love this station
    Even for tourists who don't know a thing about the station, it is easy to spot the platforms and see information about the trains. I also saw a cute Globi-themed train car. Will definitely get on the Globi express next time!

    Don't miss it !
    Lucerne Station shouldn't be missed. The arches can be seen from almost any location in Lucerne. On the city tour we had we were told that inside the arches was piping cleverly hidden to provide ventilation for the train station below. Taking the escalator down to the train station brings a whole new world of things to see. Restaurants shops and more. Honestly you could spend a few hours there browsing shops and trying some of the unique interesting looking Swiss fast foods.
