Simply stunning
From the moment our train came close to the water we were wowed by this beautiful lake. It has so much to offer and is the source of so much activity that there really is something for everyone. We stayed in the city itself and the lake became a focal point. We would get the tram down every night and enjoy the activity and events around it. We had a TravelCard which qualified us for the three ferry routes on the lake and we made full use of these. Hop on hop off for a short journey during which you will see some amazing sites, get some great pictures and a close-up view of the water jet. It is lined with parks, bars and restaurants but we used to go back a block as they were much cheaper there. A lot of people took a picnic by the water and this seemed a great idea. Absolutely beautiful!

Lake Trip
Booked the trip around the lake which took about hour, wrap up warm it's chilly. We stayed inside but you can sit up on the deck, better in the summer I guess. Drinks and toilets available on board
