    Wonderful Geneva cathedral
A beautiful cathedral almost hidden away because it is surrounded by other buildings. Well worth the effort, for the adjoining Chapel as well as the cathedral itself. The two are very very different inside, both beautiful in different ways. As long as your legs are up to it, you MUST pay 7 Swiss Francs for the tower visit, the bells and the external views are absolutely superb. But you may have to hunt for the final stairs in the North tower, there are metal grill doors hidden away in the corner, easily missed.

    Must visit in Geneva
The cathedral itself is free to visit. For Protestants, this is a very historic place to visit due to its role in the Reformation. The only charges are to climb the tower or visit the archeological museum in the basement. Both are worth doing, although the archeological museum is poorly organized. Without the self-guided audio tour, you really don't know what way to go or what you're looking at. The cathedral itself doesn't really have any information or placards. Unless you hire a guide or buy one of the guidebooks you probably won't know what you're looking at inside the cathedral. They could definitely improve that part of the visitor experience. For visitors who are religious, regular Protestant church services are held in the cathedral.
