Lovely walk along the river
We walked past the old train station to the wooden bridge which was where the walk was a real gem. Beautiful clear waters where we could see fish swimming. Cross over the bridge and you'll find a walk hewn out of the rocks all along the river edge back to town. Beautiful scenery. It wasn't warm enough to swim, but I could see on a hot day that you'd want to!

Great for a stroll on a bright autumns day
This old railway line forms a delightful route to walk as far as you like in beautiful surroundings. Its well maintained although as you head in land it can be used by tractors which leave mud (and worse) on the track. As it used by bicycles you need to keep your ears open as they can close down on you at high speeds without having a bell. The old station contains information about Cantabria and stunning photographs- I am unsure about the hours as it may be staffed by volunteers but it was open Sunday lunch time.
