Great lessons
I have spent a few days in Suances and took surf classes every day for the whole stay. This is one of the best school I have tried so far. Nice instructors, well prepared and very observant and provided specific instructions on technique adjustments either if this is your first experience on the waves or if you want to advance. I stayed at the same surf house, which is just 2 minutes walk from the beach. Cousy house, very clean and well maintained, with a lot of space inside and outside, including an area to chill or a space for practising yoga. I will definitely repeat.

Excellent first attempt at Surfing
Stopped by the surf school when we stayed in Suances in May 2016, and arranged to have a 2 hour lesson the day after. Really nice guys who were really helpful and arranged suitable wet suit for the cold May sea. Had some decent waves and some excellent tuition which helped get the basics "sorted". Enjoyed the lesson so much, arranged to go back a few days later to hire a board for a few hours to get some more hours under the belt. Really good craic with the guys in the shop and who took the lessons, and as a valued customer, secured a great Totora Surf School mug to take back to Escotia! Great guys, and thoroughly recommended.

Great experience, fun and safe surf for children and teenagers!
I have been returning to Totora with my 3 kids aged 8 to 17 for the last 4 seasons. It is a very well cared initation programme for both adults and children, and safety and fun has two key factors of the successful experience. Will return next year and I highly recommend Totora team as a reference surf school and Suances as a superb family friendly location.
