Long stretch of sand
Parked at the top end of Calle Lopez Sena just down from the Old Town area (plenty of cafes and bars all along) and walked to the bottom of the street which ends at the beachfront and balcony area - there’s a small square before with some odd looking metal sculptures. An esplanade follows the beach around the bay and a pleasant walk even out of season. Visited beginning of March and obviously the beach was empty! From the balcony you get good views right across the long stretch of sand, out to sea, back towards town and the hilltop viewpoint out on headland.

There’s a fine beach and not much else.
I’m pleased to be able to say that Laredo has a very good beach, enhanced by some fine sand dunes. I’m pleased to be able to say this because Laredo has nothing else and is a dismal place. From the weeds on the otherwise nice promenade to the general scruffiness of the town, Laredo has a rather unkempt feel. We only popped in while passing to have a quick look and a walk. We’ll just keep driving next time.
