has some excellent sculptures
This museum founded and dedicated to Jesus Otero is just by the main church in Santillana del Mar. It is free to enter and we both enjoyed the visit. Before this visit we hadn't heard of this guy and liked much of the work on show there, most especially the wooden carvings of Christ in the main room. These are spectacular. Much of the rest is bas relief and again we enjoyed very much. It's also an attractive building and free, what's not to like!

Beautiful Sculptures!
This is a museum dedicated to Jesus Otero, a famous sculptor from Santillana del Mar. The outside sculptures are just beautiful. They represent different prehistoric animals such as the bison or the horse, iconic figures from Altamira. The inside exhibition is O.K., nothing special.

Worth a visit
Two small rooms in a house dedicated to this sculptor. Several works demonstrating his talents on display. Seems to be a large library on the second floor for anyone wishing to study in more depth. Worth a visit to learn about this talented man
