Beautiful place

Great place for a visit, it’s the only place we found someone doing hair braiding also, this was a little pricey at 12e each. There are some beautiful hotels in this section, we accidentally went into one as it looked more like the entrance to a local park or nature reserve. There’s plenty of shops and restaurants, we didn’t stay for food just a wander around. We found someone sand sculpting on the beach, as well as street dancers and singers Definitely somewhere to visit

    Focal point between maspalomas and meloneras
    Set between maspalomas and meloneras this light house gives a focal point. As daylight fails the light comes on, or can be seen, making it an attractive feature at sunset. There are restaurants nearby too.

    A worthwhile visit.
    Really impressed with the renovation of this historical lighthouse. It depicts the history of Gran Canaria, the skills of the locals, how it had to diversify through the centuries. So much information in immaculately kept displays in various languages. Spanish, German & English. There is a little shop selling guaranteed, local products. There are plenty of pamphlets to take away & inform yourself. It’s free to visit as well.
